The company was established in 1967 as MacAir, after which for many years it was known as Westair Maintenance. In April 2018 the Company name was changed to Skycore Aviation.

Our experience has always guaranteed meticulously maintained aircraft in compliance with the latest manufacturers’ service bulletins and directives. Skycore Aviation pride ourselves with a pool of highly qualified and specialised engineers, guaranteeing service of the highest quality standard. 

The scope of aircraft regularly maintained include a range of Jet, Turbine and Piston Engine Aircraft, as well as several Light Sport Aircraft. Since March 2019 we also include rotorcraft maintenance among our services. We are proud to be the only Piston Engine Overhaul facility in Namibia. In addition to offering routine maintenance and support, Skycore Aviation has conducted numerous complete aircraft refurbishment and rebuilt projects with great success.

Skycore Aviation has established and certified Aircraft Maintenance Facility at Swakopmund Airport.  Our hangar is located on the western side of the built up area for hangars and identified by our livery.  The facility will be operated as a Satellite Station with the capability to serve the local flying industry and support all technical requirements for General Aviation Aircraft.

Skycore Aviation holds authorised AMO status for Namibia, South Africa, Botswana and Angola.
